Arbor Education and Training
Arbor Education and Training has been contracted to the Lakeshore Consortium (Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties, Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Economic Support) since 2004 to provide Employment and Training programs and services for TANF eligible individuals. Arbor has been providing these services to Sheboygan County since 1989. Arbor offers job search assistance and daily workshops in employability and life skills for job seekers receiving food stamps, W2, and for individuals enrolled in the court ordered Children First program. Arbor's Bi-lingual Specialist teaches workshops in Hmong for the newly arrived refugees and other limited English participants. Their coursework covers a similar range of topics including filling out applications, interview techniques and upgrading math skills.
Arbor provides intensive case management and job development for individuals referred by Child Support to Children First, a court ordered program for parents delinquent in child support payments who need assistance getting back to work.
Arbor staff are active in job development and employer networking in Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties. Arbor works closely with employers to insure job retention and employer satisfaction. Arbor also offers bilingual services to employers to assist their limited English speaking employees learn and retain their jobs and become productive and valued employees.
