Moving October 1st to 4319 Expo Drive, Manitowoc.

The Economic Support Division is taking applications for the 2017-2018 Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program.  Manitowoc County residents who need help with their heating or electric bills should call 920-683-2888 to be added to the waiting list.  You will be called back for an appointment. The program runs until May. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance eligibility is based on the total gross income of all household members during the preceding three months, the 2017-2018 income limits are as follows:

Household of 1:  $6,650.25
Household of 2:  $8696.25
Household of 3:  $10,742.50
Household of 4:  $12,788.75
Household of 5:  $14,835.00
Household of 6:  $16,881.25
Household of 7:  $17,264.75
Household of 8:  $17,648.50

Income limits increase as family size increases.

Applications must provide verification of the following information for all household members, including minors:

- Social Security Numbers
- Alien registration cards (if applicable)
- Gross Wages for the three months prior to appointment
- All unearned income
- Account numbers for your heat and electric bills – WPS bill for natural gas customers, usage statement from Propane and Fuel Oil customers, and electric cost statement printout and electric bill
- A photo ID for the primary person
- 2016 Federal Income Tax Return
- Lease/rental agreement if renting and heat is included in rent
