Internet and Email Basics Workshop

Time: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Detail:

Learn to surf the internet and use email. We will look at different web browser features, learn effective web search tactics, and hw to do research on companies you want to apply to. You will also learn how to fill out an online application and how to upload/attach your resume.

We will also train you to use that email account you have been wondering about.

Must be able to show 'mousing' efficiency and have an established email account

Prior registration IS required.

"Nuts and Bolts" approach to writing a resume without going through a breakdown. A simple, effective approach with straight forward ideas and tips. Do's and don'ts of information, organization and presentation. Learn about the variety of formats available and which one is right for you. Realize your skills and abilities and be confident with your resume as a marketing tool and your key to an interview.

Please bring in any older resume(s) you might have as well as an up-to-date work history. If you have a flash drive, that would also be helpful for saving any work that is done.

This workshop is on a Wednesday
