Careers: Planning and Decision Making
This workshop is offered by LTC Manitowoc and includes assessments to help identify how personality, interests, aptitudes and abilities fit into today's job market. These assessments will help participants make strong education and career plans for the future.
Summer dates are:
Monday, June 10, 17, and 24 8:30am-11:45am
Monday, July 1, 8, and 15 5:30pm-8:45pm
Monday, August 5, 12, and 19 8:30am-11:45am
Career Awareness
This workshop is offered by LTC and gives participants the skills needed to set goals and make successful career choices. Participants will become aware of the current occupational trends and strategies available for career exploration. This class is the second part to the GED/HSED orientation - fees may apply.

Employability Skills
This workshop is required for the HSED and will teach skills necessary to gain employment.
Summer dates are:
Wednesday June 19 and 26 5:30pm-9pm
Wednesday August 7 and 14 8:30am-12pm

Wisconsin Careers is an easy to use web site that will guide you through the career planning and decision making process as well as assist you with your job search. Take a guest tour that will give you an introduction to the WISCareers site - take assessments, research schools, and see how WISCareers can help you plan for a successful career. WISCareers also includes tools for you to create a resumé and build a budget, along with resources for education professionals. To register, contact the Job Center for the registration code or visit the Job Center Resource Room.
WORKnet
WORKnet is a website providing a variety of information on Wisconsin's Workforce. This easy to follow website offers a variety of career and labor market information to the job seeker including:
- County Summary - Provides a snapshot of the selected county
- Employer Search - Lets you search by employer name, size, industry, classification and also provides you with maps of employer locations.
- Occupational Search - Provides you with a wide variety of occupational information including wages, employment projections, and employment by industry and training providers.
